Fukui Prefecture is located in between Kyoto and Ishikawa prefecture and faced to the Japan Sea.

<The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum> Many dinosaur fossils have been discovered in Fukui and newly founded species are given the name "Fukui", such as  Fukuisaurus tetoriensis and Fukuiraptor kitadaniensis. Enjoy variety of exhibition of dinosaur fossils ranked as the 3 best ones in the world.

<Eiheiji Temple> Zen Buddhism training hall established in 1244 by Dogen Zenji, the founder of Soto school of Zen Buddhism.

<Tojinbo> Tojinbo cliffs. The sight of the gigantic cliff over 20 meters high standing against the raging foaming waves of the Japan Sea is magnificent.

<Maruoka Jo> Maruoka Caslte is built in 1576, and this is one of the 12 oldest donjon in existence in Japan.

<Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins> A castle town in Sengoku Period.
