The Frankfurt Airport is located 7.5 miles from the center of Frankfurt, Germany. It’s the largest airport in the country, the third largest in Europe and the eleventh largest in the world. The Frankfurt Airport covers 4,942 acres and has 4 landing strips, 2 passenger terminals, and a third smaller one (First Terminal) for first class passengers of Lufthansa. Terminal 1 has 4 sections (A, B, C, and Z) and 103 gates, while Terminal 2 is divided in to 2 sections (D and E) with 42 gates.
The Frankfurt Airport offers ample services in each terminal, among them are banks, money exchange services, postal services, shops, ATMs, stands selling media and tobacco, Wi-Fi Internet connection, pharmacies, and a medical clinic. There’s also a VIP area, a Conference Centre with 28 equipped rooms, the Markplatz, a mall located on the second floor of Terminal 2, and a Sheraton Hotel connected to Terminal 1.
The Frankfurt Airport has a parking structure with several levels and a huge amount of parking spaces in each terminal for both short and long term stays. The parking area is connected to the terminals by bus.
Inside the Frankfurt Airport, in terminals 1 and 2 are the principal car rental companies. In sectors A and B of Terminal 1 (level 1), and in sector D of Terminal 2 (level 2) are the stands for companies like Avis, Europcar, Budget, National, Alamo, Hertz, and Sixt among others.

To exit Frankfurt Airport you just have to follow the signs and instructions from Terminals 1 and 2 and drive towards the intersection Frankfurter Kruez which leads directly to the Autobahn Highways (A3, A5, y A67). By rental car it will take about 10-15 minutes to arrive from the airport to the central station or even the center of the city of Frankfurt.
