The International Airport of Río de Janeiro is located in Ilha do Governador (Governor’s Island) 12 miles from the center of the city of Río de Janeiro.

With 17 million travelers per year, this airport also known as Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport or Galeão International Airport, is the second busiest in Brazil after the São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport.
